In the Season 5 premiere, Daphne and Bay receive an emergency phone call while in China and return home, where Daphne readjusts to campus life and Bay feels conflicted about her feelings for Emmett. Meanwhile, Kathryn and John argue about her job; and Regina feels guilty about a secret romance.

Season 05 , Episode 02 – “This Has to Do With Me”
A photo of Daphne and Mingo dressed up as famous singers at a party goes viral, prompting a discussion on race relations and free speech. Meanwhile, Bay seeks a job a tattoo parlor; Kathryn and John court a new shortstop; and Regina and Luca work on a school project together.

Season 05 , Episode 03 – “Surprise”
Toby and Lily return from London with immediate plans to get married in the Kennish’s backyard, but a fight before the ceremony threatens their impending union. Meanwhile, Regina debates whether to reveal her relationship with Luca to her family; and Bay runs into Tank.

Season 05 , Episode 04 – “Relation of Lines and Colors”
Daphne witnesses a racist display aimed at the Black Student Union on campus. Racial tensions worsen when those responsible are barely punished, leading Iris to partake in a hunger strike and Sharee to grow frustrated with the school’s lack of action. Meanwhile, Daphne receives an anonymous threat; and Bay helps Emmett with an art project, which causes friction with Travis.

Season 05 , Episode 05 – “Occupy Truth”
The Black Student Union take a stand against the university administration until their demands are heard. Iris continues her hunger strike until the students responsible for a racist display are expelled; Sharee gathers signatures and rallies students; and Chris is torn between playing in a game with baseball scouts and standing with his fellow students to show solidarity.

Season 05 , Episode 07 – “Memory (The Heart)”
Bay and Daphne are flooded with memories of their late father after meeting a mysterious woman. Meanwhile, Toby is caught between his mother’s wishes to baptize his son and his wife’s feelings about faith; and Melody asks her sons to make amends so the family can be together for her birthday.

Season 05 , Episode 08 – “Left in Charge”
Bay and Daphne throw a “lights on” party at their apartment to pay for their electric bill, but things go awry when uninvited guests get out of control. Meanwhile, Simone turns up looking glamorous; Daphne and Chris get to know each other better; and Kathryn and Regina do some old-school snooping on Luca after Regina sees a questionable text on his phone.

Season 05 , Episode 09 – “The Wolf Is Waiting”
Travis and Bay have dinner with his birth mom, but the reunion dredges up painful memories of his childhood assault. Elsewhere, Daphne contemplates helping Chris cheat on a test; and Regina gets paid an unexpected visit.

Season 05 , Episode 10 – “Long Live Love”
In the series finale, Kathryn realizes it has been five years since the switch was discovered and uncovers a long-buried family secret. Meanwhile, Daphne competes against Mingo for a paid internship; Bay is celebrated for her tattoo work in a magazine; Toby meets a young woman with Down syndrome; Melody, Emmett and Travis make major decisions about their lives; and Regina takes a chance on love.
