Amy Gray is a young New York attorney who, after separating from her husband, returns with her young daughter to her childhood home in Hartford, Connecticut where she becomes a Family court judge. In addition to her experiences as a judge, the stories further revolve around Amy’s mother, a caseworker for the Department of children and Families, with whom she lives.
