The DRINK section raises a glass to the many micro-breweries who kept the north firmly at the top of Britain’s beer map… and the pubs who serve their unique ales. We also share a tipple with northern wineries who are gaining a fast-growing reputation for producing a great grape, worldwide. The SLEEP section gets into bed with the north’s best B & B’s, country hotels and guest houses to suit every taste and price range. We draw back the curtains on some of the hilarious stories and quirky complaints, usually only shared among the hospitality trade.
