Shane Riley and Heather Thomas become friends after they both give birth in a shared hospital, and the father of Heather’s baby confronts her and Shane comes to Heather’s defense. Two years later, one of these women will be found murdered. In the interim, the two young mothers become inseparable as Shane strives to achieve her dreams and Heather grapples with her bipolar disorder. At first supportive of each other, their friendship eventually becomes troubled. When Shane is denied a loan to fund her dream, she and her boyfriend Alex commit a crime to secure the cash.
