The New Titanic Chronicler is a bi-monthly publication with a primary focus on the creation of “Titanic” – the largest Titanic model in Africa – made of “tin”. This 8.7-meter (28.5 ft.) replica takes center stage as a testament to the endurance and vision of artist Gino Hart. Each issue also features The Art of Titanic by other Titanic Chroniclers (artists) from around the world, showcasing miniature model art alongside the untold stories of South African connections to the famous wreck. Archival material from the long-forgotten Titanic Society of South Africa are highlighted, preserving a memory that has remained largely unseen 12 500ft deep in darkness. The magazine is a celebration of history, artistry, and South Africa’s unique connections.
