This book, Textbook of Microbiology, deals with microbiology – an inherently valuable and useful discipline that offers an intimate view of an invisible world. The amount of information on this subject is so vast that microbiology books have generally followed one of the two main tracks. The traditional books seem to be exhaustive of microbiologic facts, and are too detailed to be read by typical medical students, who is trying to keep up with several other subjects simultaneously.
