One of the most revered figures of Chinese Chan Buddhism (Zen), Master Han Shan is an embodiment of wisdom. Reading the account of his life as a Chan student and master, along with his profound maxims, was a real joy. Simply put, this is an excellent book with excellent teachings from an excelling Chan Master.
The maxims are beautifully insightful, and the autobiography is interspersed with Han Shan’s poetry and spiritual reflections.
