Nick Fallin is a hotshot lawyer working at his father’s ultra successful Pittsburgh law firm. Unfortunately, the high life has gotten the best of Nick. Reluctantly, he’s now The Guardian – a part-time child advocate at Legal Aid Services, where one case after another is an eye-opening instance of kids caught up in difficult circumstances.

In the show’s final season, a recently paroled Piper tries to get back on her feet while life in Litchfield, as corrupt as ever, goes on without her.

Piper Chapman is a public relations executive with a career and a fiance when her past suddenly catches up to her. In her mid-30s she is sentenced to spend time in a minimum-security women’s prison in Connecticut for her association with a drug runner 10 years earlier. This Netflix original series is based on the book of the same title. Forced to trade power suits for prison orange, Chapman makes her way through the corrections system and adjusts to life behind bars, making friends with the many eccentric, unusual and unexpected people she meets.

Outraged by the Litchfield leadership’s apparent indifference to an inmate’s death at the hands of a guard, the prisoners rioted. Season 5, which debuts Friday, takes place over just three days of that riot. As the standoff at the prison spirals into a full-blown riot, enterprising inmates take advantage of the confusion.

Taylor Schilling stars as Piper Chapman, who ten years previously transported drug money for her then girlfriend Alex Vause (Laura Prepon). Piper is now serving a 15-month sentence as a result. Though her fiancé Larry Bloom (Jason Biggs) is initially determined to support her through the ordeal, the challenges of prison life often cause problems in their relationship, especially since Alex is one of her fellow inmates.
