The controversial “Unbowed” dramatizes the true story of a math professor, Kim Kyung-ho, who in 2007 was arrested for supposedly shooting a crossbow at the appellate judge who in Kyung-ho’s opinion unfairly dismissed his case. Kyung-ho had been fired by a University for questioning the validity of a math question on the entrance exam. Frustrated, he confronts the judge outside of his apartment with a crossbow. Media frenzy ensues when the judge accuses Kim of shooting him with an arrow. Kim’s wife approaches Park Jun, a lawyer heavily in debt to take on the case. After struggling with their relationship, Kim and Park, both underdogs, join forces to fight against injustice and find themselves in the process.
