Morgan Frazier’s remarkable journey began in a small Texas town where she made her way to Nashville by literally going door-to-door. At just nine years old, Morgan recorded her first CD in her hometown of Breckenridge, Texas. Although they had no formal plans to market or sell the CD’s, Morgan’s family believed in their little girl’s talent and ordered one thousand copies. For the next two years, Morgan and her family traveled all over the South and Southwest selling over thirty thousand copies of her album. At the age of sixteen, Morgan followed her dream to Nashville where she perfected her songwriting craft and honed her chops at the legendary Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge. Frazier took a break from performing at Nashville’s famous Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge to audition for The Voice and ended up wowing all four judges with her unique cover of Cheap Trick’s “I Want You To Want Me.” Frazier took the stage with an acoustic guitar and impressed the crowd with her earthy, yet pretty, vocal style and fresh take on the tune, which she says should be a country love song. Judge Gwen Stefani turned her chair around after just one line, but Shelton pulled the rug out from under her at the last minute, spinning on the final notes. The celebrities argued for their teams, with Shelton using his country prowess as leverage from the get-go.
