For almost a decade, Paul Abbott’s BAFTA award-winning series Shameless earned droves of adoring fans with its blisteringly funny and jaw dropping portrayal of the UK underclass. Now in this complete collection is a chance to relive the crime, chaos and debauchery of Manchester’s Chatsworth Estate.
Follow anti-hero Frank Gallagher, staggering from The Jockey to adventures in France, a mental institute and prison, fuelled of course by his trademark round of a pint and two Es. The Gallagher family – Fiona, Lip, Ian, Carl, Debbie and Liam–pick up the pieces left by their absent mother and erratic father with the assistance of Fiona’s partner Steve; consequently they are often caught on the wrong side of the law, struggling with squalor, sexual misdemeanours and drug-smuggling boyfriends.
