This show is awesome! Mixing humor, common sense, science and food is a winning recipe for Alton Brown’s “Good Eats” series. Unlike other cooking shows, the show is not stuck in a studio kitchen with a live audience. Alton Brown and his cast of zany characters makes learning about food and cooking fun. From a food’s origins to putting the finished dish on the table, AB strives to make learning about food and its preparation educational, with recipes that are both easy and challenge the way we think about eating.
Pop culture, comedy and plain good eating: host Alton Brown explores the origins of ingredients, decodes culinary customs, and presents food and equipment trends. Punctuated by unusual interludes, simple preparations and unconventional discussions, he’ll bring you food in its finest and funniest form. Alton Brown manages to impart more information in half an hour than most other shows can get to in an hour.
