i.am.FIRST – Science is Rock and Roll is an electric hour of highlights from the 20th Annual FIRST Robotics Championship. At the FIRST event, will.i.am, Aneesh Chopra, Assistant to the President and Chief Technology Officer of the U.S., along with 30,000 students, fans, families, educators and industry leaders came together at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, MO to celebrate the engineering prowess of talented students from around the world. Featuring live musical performances by The Black Eyed Peas and Willow Smith before an enthusiastic crowd of 30,000, and special appearances by such celebrities as Justin Bieber, Jack Black, Bono, Miranda Cosgrove, Miley Cyrus, Josh Duhamel, Willow Smith, Britney Spears, Snoop Dogg, Justin Timberlake, Steven Tyler and Executive Producer will.i.am, the program documents the challenges that the country’s best and brightest students faced in the FIRST Regional Competitions leading up to and culminating in the international Championship.

We’ve tapped SNL “A-Hole” Jason Sudeikis to take the reigns as host. You’ve seen him everywhere from guest stints on “30 Rock” to the silver screen on “Hall Pass” … seriously, the guy’s popping up all over the comedy scene.
From Britney Spears delivering a pair of surprise performances, to Beyoncé’s show-stopping number, the BBMAs were full of unforgettable moments. There was plenty of buzzworthy action going on behind-the-scenes, too — and not just during Sunday night’s big show, but over two days of rehearsals at the MGM Grand Arena.
This year’s event is scheduled to be hosted by Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton. One of the great things about this event is that you, the fan’s, get to cast your vote for not one, but several different categories. They are: Entertainer of the Year, Top New Solo Vocalist and Top New Vocal Duo or Group. The winners of the two “Top New…” categories will then compete for the Top New Artist category which will also be open for fan voting.
The 53rd annual event, held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Eminem leads all nominees with 10, followed by Bruno Mars with seven. Both are scheduled to perform, along with Justin Bieber, Usher, Lady Gaga, Miranda Lambert, Katy Perry and B.o.B.
