Set in the future, the city of Shanghai China battles to defend itself against an ongoing attack by an alien force that has attacked that has laid siege to numerous cities around the globe in it’s quest to harvest a hidden energy only found on earth.
This series pays homage to Frank Miller’s legendary Wolverine graphic novel from the 1980’s. The series begins when Mariko, the love of Logan’s life, is forced back to Japan by her crime-lord father, Shingen. Logan vows to get her back at any cost. He is plunged into a chaotic world of corruption and violence, forcing him to team up with young assassin, Yukio, to battle their way through the Japanese criminal underworld.
Down on his luck after losing his job, ’60s activist/ex-con Hap Collins can’t help but listen when his seductive former wife Trudy, for whom he still pines, resurfaces with promises of finding a sunken treasure in the Deep South. Joining the adventure is Hap’s unlikely buddy Leonard Pine, an openly gay black Vietnam War vet with a bad temper and little use for Trudy’s feminine wiles. Soon enough the simple get-rich-quick scheme snowballs into bloody mayhem.
Muppet Babies was a very successful cartoon series in its own right. This show basically featured Jim Henson’s famous Muppets as babies. Each episode, each of the Muppet Babies had adventures that their imaginations take them on. Often however, their imaginations would sometimes get the better of them, all for comic effect. The featured Muppets were Baby Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo, Rowlf, Animal, Scooter, and a new character, Skeeter, Scooter’s look-alike sister. Occasionally they had visits from Baby Bunsen and Beaker, and even Statler and Waldorf came to visit, and later we see a recurring appearance by a “baby” version of Bean Bunny from Tale of the Bunny Picnic. The moral glue that held these Muppets together was Nanny (voiced by Barbara Billingsley of Leave it to Beaver fame), a character whose body was only shown from the waist down and we all remember the green striped socks…

Laugh-In first aired as a one-time NBC special back in 1967 and was hosted by Dan Rowan and Dick Martin. Named by TV Guide as one of the “50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time, the groundbreaking TV show was a fast-moving barrage of jokes, rapid-fire one-liners, running skits, and musical numbers and became the trendsetter in the television industry.
Jim and his daughter Veronica, a young high-school music teacher, attempt to unravel their complicated histories and intertwined secrets. After a hoax goes very wrong, Jim’s daughter is falsely convicted of abusing her position of authority over 17-year-old Clive. Veronica is nevertheless convinced she deserves to be punished, but for much earlier crimes. Wes Craven’s smash hit horror quadrilogy is a post-modern take on the slasher cycle of the late Seventies and early Eighties. Scream skewers teen horror conventions with loving reverence while re-creating them in a modern, movie-savvy context.
Follows the same pattern of the other Faces of Death movies. In this one we see many staged and not so staged looking deaths ranging from bungee jumping accidents and magic tricks gone bad.
