Katarina, is a young woman who dreams of another life. Through YouTube she discovers classical music and is transported to a world far away from her alcoholic mother and dreary boyfriend. As a result she ends up getting a job as a receptionist at the Gothenburg concert hall, where she meets an esteemed middle aged conductor, Adam. The two engage in an affair, but it soon becomes clear they have very different viewpoints and expectations of their relationship – for Katarina, Adam is the man that personifies the image of artistic perfection, while Adam thinks of Katarina more as an amusing and temporary fling.
