5 Days of August’ is about the Russian-Georgian war in 2008. For most people this conflict is too complicated to understand. That’s exactly what this film tries to explain. Not an easy task. Even before the film was released, Russian state media already condemned it. That alone is reason enough to watch this film. A pretty darn good movie with some great special effects and an intelligent screenplay!
