A controversial energy drink called Renergy is manufactured at a Midwestern plant. When an accident drastically increases the drink’s potency, a worker drinks a bottle and goes berserk, butchering almost all of his colleagues. A month later, Becky, a germaphobic, trainee journalist reluctantly goes to an illegal rave inside the now abandoned plant. There she has immediate chemistry with Hannah, a friend of her ex-girlfriend. In the meantime, the party’s organiser discovers a left-over stash of the still contaminated energy drink, which quickly gets in the hands of every raver there.
