The scripted drama will adapt Bernard Cornwell’s trilogy of Arthurian novels, The Warlord Chronicles.

Season 1, Episode 01
In the first book, Derfel Cadarn, a former warrior sworn to Arthur and now an elderly monk, tells the story of how Arthur became warlord of Dark Age Britain despite illegitimacy to the throne.

Season 1, Episode 02
An untimely death leads Merlin to locate Arthur and urge him to come back to Britain; chaos ensues when Gundleus assaults Avalon.

Season 1, Episode 03
Arthur takes Gundleus prisoner. Nimue struggles with the trauma of her rape and plans to kill Gundleus. Arthur learns that Gundleus’ uncle Gorfydd is preparing for war. Nimue tries to pull Derfel into her plans, but Derfel can’t betray Arthur.

Season 1, Episode 04
Bastard son Arthur returns to the land he’s been banished from to find a kingdom in chaos. Seeking the aid of his oldest confidants, Arthur aims to right Britain’s path as he faces the most unexpected of obstacles.

Season 1, Episode 05
Derfel feels uncomfortable about the attack on the mine—which Owain is keeping a secret. Tristan, prince of Kernow, demands justice for the raid at the mine.

Season 1, Episode 06
Arthur and the tribe kings enter peace talks; Arthur meets Guinevere, Ceinwyn’s lady-in-waiting, while traveling.

Season 1, Episode 07
Arthur and Guinevere meet secretly before Arthur and Ceinwyn are to be married.

Season 1, Episode 08
Arthur believes that Bedwin will be able to negotiate peace with Gorfydd; however, when Morgan and Derfel arrive in Powys, they discover a horrific site.

Season 1, Episode 09
Gorfydd allies with the Saxons and declares war; Arthur admits he exiled Nimue to the Isle of the Dead.

Season 1, Episode 10 – “Episode Ten”
Derfel finds Nimue inside the Isle of the Dead; guilt ridden by the deal he’s been forced to make with the Saxons, Arthur vows to fight to save Britain.
