Tough As Nails is a competition series that celebrates everyday Americans who roll up their sleeves and don’t think twice about working long hard hours and getting their hands dirty, in order to keep their country running. Competitors who consider the calluses on their hands a badge of honor will be tested for their strength, endurance, life skills and, most importantly, mental toughness in challenges that take place at real-world job sites.

Season 5, Episode 01 – “Tough Times Don’t Last but Tough People Do”
Meeting the 12 new crew members ready to test their strength, endurance, life skills and mental toughness on the new season. In the first individual challenge of the season, competitors will cut, grind and torch 500 pounds of scrap metal. The first to finish the job earn the privilege of choosing their teammates for Dirty Hands and Savage Crew.

Season 5, Episode 03 – “Zink About It”
In the individual challenge, crew members are tasked with designing and welding a structure that can withstand the crushing force of 1 ton of weight.

Season 5, Episode 04 – “Man Made It, These Hands Can Fix It”
In the team challenge, Dirty Hands and Savage Crew are tasked with completing a muddy motocross track to the exact standards of professional riders.

Season 5, Episode 05 – “How Do You Like Them Apples?”
Season three winner Lia Mort returns to guide the crews through a series of challenges at a local apple orchard. In the team competition, Dirty Hands and Savage crew race to gather as many bushels of apples as quickly as possible.

Season 5, Episode 06 – “Just Trying to Be Me”
Dirty Hands and Savage Crew race to locate and purchase a long list of heavy, bulky items from a large home improvement store during the team competition. Meanwhile, one crew member faces an extremely difficult decision that could impact their team’s future in the competition.

Season 5, Episode 07 – “Boom or Bust”
The crews take a trip to the quarry where the contestants face the most explosive individual challenge ever when they must install 20 detonators.

Season 5, Episode 08 – “You Can’t Always Be the Hammer”
Crew members compete in a series of challenges that give back to the local community. In the team competition Dirty Hands and Savage Crew compete to be the first to complete a play structure for a local park, and in the individual competition competitors build bikes for children.

Season 5, Episode 09 – “Winning’s Not Everything, But Losing Sucks”
Dirty Hands and Savage Crew compete in the final team competition when they battle it out in a series of head-to-head matches inspired by the trades.

Season 5, Episode 10 – “Ready For Take Off”
The final three compete in the most challenging gauntlet yet for the title of TOUGH AS NAILS champion and the coveted winner’s belt.
