Kate, the owner of an old-fashioned seaside cafe forms an unlikely friendship with Koji, an African asylum seeker. When Kate finds out that her new acquaintance is a doctor but he is prohibited from working whilst seeking asylum, she hatches a plan that may be mutually beneficial to both involved.

Kate is turning out an old box and finds her dad’s old revolver. She wants to keep it, but after Koji intervenes, she agrees to take it to the police station…she probably shouldn’t have stopped off at the bank on the way though….

Season 2, Episode 04 – “Kojis Date”
Despite his disastrous record, Koji decides to take a chance on romance and Kate is determined she is going to help him. What could possibly go wrong?

Season 2, Episode 05 – “Saint Lavinia”
When her lifelong enemy suddenly decides to make amends, Kate thinks she smells a rat. Meanwhile, Koji develops a curious symptom.

Season 2, Episode 06 – “Vote For Kate”
Kate ignores her friends’ advice and stands against Councillor Bone as the local police and crime commissioner. Medium is set to leave for a job abroad, while Koji’s appeal is going badly and it looks as if Kate may be left alone.
