Continuing the tradition of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, the story of the next generation of supernatural beings at The Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted. Klaus Mikaelson’s daughter, 17-year-old Hope Mikaelson; Alaric Saltzman’s twins, Lizzie and Josie Saltzman; and other young adults come of age in the most unconventional way possible, nurtured to be their best selves…in spite of their worst impulses. Will these young witches, vampires and werewolves become the heroes they want to be — or the villains they were born to be?

Season 04, Episode 01 – “You Have to Pick One This Time”
After learning that Malivore has taken over Landon’s body, Hope and the Super Squad come up with a risky plan to rescue Landon, as well as Cleo, who has been absorbed into Malivore’s darkness. Meanwhile, an impromptu date with Finch brings up a subject that Josie is not ready to talk about.

Season 04, Episode 02 – “There’s No I in Team, or Whatever”
Hope has to relinquish control and allow Josie and the Super Squad to enact a risky plan that could save Landon. Landon and Cleo meet in Malivore’s darkness and learn more about one another.

Season 04, Episode 03 – “We All Knew This Day Was Coming”
Hope realizes she has a difficult choice to make, much to Alaric’s disapproval. Kaleb and MG come up with their own plan to help Hope as Hope seeks help from Josie and Lizzie. Meanwhile, Alaric realizes he needs to relinquish control.

Season 04, Episode 04 – “See You on the Other Side”
Hope wrestles with her reality. Alaric entrusts the Super Squad to work together. Cleo confides in Landon. Meanwhile, MG divulges some important information to Lizzie and Finch sees a different side to Josie.

Season 04, Episode 05 – “I Thought You’d Be Happier to See Me”
Hope is tracked down by the one person who could help her – Rebekah Mikaelson. Rebekah is fearful of what path Hope has chosen but makes every effort to get through to her. Josie and Lizzie hold out hope in a seemingly dire situation as MG figures out what he can do to help. Meanwhile, Kaleb wants to set things right and turns to Cleo for guidance.

Season 04, Episode 06 – “You’re a Long Way from Home”
Josie and Lizzie search for answers which leads Lizzie to uncover a dangerous plan. Cleo works on tracking down Hope, who does not want to be found. Hope pays a visit to a familiar face. Meanwhile, Landon gets some clarity – and a surprise visitor.

Season 04, Episode 07 – “Someplace Far Away from All This Violence”
The Super Squad continues to work on helping Hope, much to her dismay. MG makes a last-ditch effort at helping the Super Squad, but things do not go as he had planned. Meanwhile, Lizzie searches for answers as Josie goes to extreme measures.

Season 04, Episode 08 – “You Will Remember Me”
Hope find herself on a dangerous undertaking. Josie goes deep for answers as Lizzie asks Cleo for inspiration and is surprised as to where she finds it. Meanwhile, Landon continues his mission for peace.

Season 4, Episode 09 – “I Can’t Be the One to Stop You”
Hope finds herself involved in a game of cat and mouse as Lizzie sets out to make things right. Josie has a heart-to-heart with Finch. Alaric, Landon, and Ted get a surprising result from their quest. Meanwhile, MG, Jed and Cleo handle matters back at The Salvatore School.

Season 4, Episode 10 – “The Story of My Life”
Cleo, MG and Jed work together on an unusual mission. Alaric, Landon, and Ted figure out what is next for them. Meanwhile, an unexpected source takes Hope by surprise.

Season 4, Episode 11 – “Follow the Sound of My Voice”
Hope and Lizzie find themselves at a carnival with an unusual cast of characters. Back at the Salvatore School, students are speaking their minds, without knowing why, which makes Jed reveal a secret and Cleo works on protecting one of their own. Meanwhile, Kaleb and MG set out on a mission, which does not go as planned.

Season 4, Episode 12 – “Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost”
As Aurora continues her research, she finds information that could prove very useful. Hope commands Lizzie to do things, with surprising results ensuing. Alaric, Landon and Ted work together to devise how to best use their wishes.

Season 4, Episode 13 – “Was This the Monster You Saw?”
Lizzie continues on her quest, with mixed results. Ben reveals more about his family and its history and Jed finds his feelings deepening. Cleo is concerned about her recent changes. Meanwhile, the Salvatore School students comes together to celebrate one of their own.

Season 4, Episode 14 – “The Only Way Out is Through”
The Super Squad rallies together to test their abilities, with help from Vardemus. Hope experiences some vivid dreams, causing some mixed emotions. Meanwhile, Landon continues on his quest for peace.

Season 4, Episode 15 – “Everything That Can Be Lost May Also Be Found”
Hope continues to be swirled in confusion and fighting her humanity, which results in her seeing the people who mean the most to her: Rebekah, Marcel, Kol, and Freya. Kaleb wants to introduce Cleo to his world, including those who had the most profound influence on his path. Meanwhile, Lizzy devises a plan to get in someone’s good graces.

Season 4, Episode 16 – “I Wouldn’t Be Standing Here if It Weren’t for You”
Hope continues her fight and Lizzie devises a plan to potentially help. Cleo is fearful of her visions and what it means for those she loves. Alaric sends Kaleb, Ethan and MG on a high-stakes mission. Jed finds himself needing to make a very difficult choice. Meanwhile, Landon makes a surprising discovery.

Season 4, Episode 17 – “Into the Woods”
Landon finds his groove in limbo, he is faced with yet another surprise. Hope does some deep soul searching. As Ethan continues to struggle and Lizzie steps in to help, MG finally divulges a long-kept secret. Meanwhile, Alaric debates putting into action a precarious plan.

Season 4, Episode 18 – “By the End of This, You’ll Know Who You Were Meant to Be”
Alaric briefs the Super Squad on what comes next. Hope has a heart-to-heart with Lizzie. MG helps Ethan. Cleo continues to test her new powers and figure out her purpose. Meanwhile, Landon takes on a new role.

Season 4, Episode 19 – “This Can Only End in Blood”
Hope presents a challenge to Ken, which he has to accept. Cleo is set on revenge. The Super Squad prepares for the battle of their lives. Meanwhile, Landon has some unexpected visitors.

Season 4, Episode 20 – “Just Don’t Be A Stranger, Okay?”
Hope, Lizzie, MG, Kaleb, Jed, Cleo and Alaric reflect on recent events and what comes next for each of them. Hope and Lizzie each find solace from unexpected yet welcome sources.
