Set amongst the vibrant international community of the eponymous Spanish island, The Mallorca Files centres around the clash of personalities between a British and German detective who have very different approaches to policing. Yet despite – or perhaps because of -their very different approaches, the sleuths form a perfect complementary partnership as they seek to solve a new crime on the island each week.

Season 2, Episode 01 – “The Maestro”
The team investigate the death of Jose Canasta, an opera singer who turns out to be an abusive man.

Season 2, Episode 02 – “Son of a Pig”
While investigating a missing persons case, Max and Miranda learn of a series of historical murders that link a mass grave, an unknown body and a washed-up private detective.

Season 2, Episode 03 – “A Dish Served Cold”
Max and Miranda embark on a culinary journey through gastronomic Mallorca to uncover the murderer of the famous food critic Oliver Barker.

Season 2, Episode 04 – “The Beautiful Game”
While protecting a famous Real Mallorca footballer from death threats, Max and Miranda uncover dodgy deals and illicit love affairs in the world of top-flight football.

Season 2, Episode 05 – “The Blue Feather”
Max and Miranda are sent to a remote part of the island to search for a missing diabetic British birdwatcher. What they end up finding is an international smuggling ring.

Season 2, Episode 06 – “The Outlaw Jose Rey”
Max and Miranda go on a wild west adventure to the horse riding world of Rancho del Ray to investigate a credit card scam, only to discover a tragic history that leads to murder.
