Thank you Max. I suspect person’s such as myself – viewing such things as this – can not let it go without comment. Who knows the why of it. Maybe it’s my age or, maybe it’s one of a thousand other reasons. Possibly I suspect it is related to why I used to enjoy hunting and how I see it now as nothing more than wanton murder of innocent life! That IF it was for sport then why not arm the hunted with modern weapons capable of making their killing us equal to our killing them…!! But then a subject such as this, philosophically embraces the sanctity of all life. And in this case – the climber’s willingness to risk his own…! The why of it and what the consequences may, might, could entail, leaves much to consider…!! In the end, I think it all boils down to what our feelings are in regards to how we envision the preciousness of what life actually is…! Smile.
