When UFOs place themselves over major cities around the world the Visitors claim to come in peace, providing humanity with medical miracles and technological breakthroughs, while different characters become suspicious of the ‘V’s (visitors) real intentions and try to investigate what is really going on before it is too late so they can claim Victory (V)!

Based on the original 1980s miniseries about alien lizards visiting Earth, this ABC sci-fi project is the brainchild of The 4400 co-creator/exec producer Scott Peters.

Anna the leader of the V’s wants everyone to unite as one, and puts her faith in humanity’s key element which is devotion. The V’s are considered to be a threat however they overcome any obstacles thrown at them and become an instant attraction. FBI Counter Terrorist Agent Erica Evans finds a secret hidden beneath the skin of every V. For Chad Decker V could make his career sky rocket as a news anchor, his exclusive interview with Anna, the leader of the V’s. Meanwhile Father Jack questions his faith as he seeks answers outside the church.

ACTUAL EARLY REVIEWS:

• It’s very difficult to say anything negative about the visuals of “V,” since the show is absolutely stunning. The interiors of the Visitors’ spacecrafts and their many technological advances are a complete marvel to behold. It’s rare that network television boasts such amazing digital effects — “Battlestar Galactica” stands out as an elite example — but “V” is easily the sharpest looking new series I’ve seen in quite a while.

• For those of you who think that you wouldn’t be into a science fiction show about aliens trying to conquer the world, you need to see V. I’ve never seen Alien or Close Encounters and I only have a moderate obsession with the Will Smith action flick Independence Day once a year around the 4th of July (I used to have Will Smith rap-offs in college at parties. I know, I was cool.). Despite my aversion to alien epics, I love V. Within the first two minutes I was hooked, just as Anna’s speech draws in the entire planet.

• It’s a perfect mixture of thriller, drama, comedy and science fiction. V is exactly what the drab 1-hour drama television sphere needs. It’s original and inviting. Give it a shot and you’ll see what I mean.
