   Are the links above correct for the model type?

   For example, my old iPhone 3G updates are in the form; iphone1,2_2.2_5G77

   Notice the iphone1,2 bit. The links above show iphone 3G as iphone1_1 which I believe is the iphone non 3G version.

   Maybe its just the way its been labeled but I wont dl until clarification.

   These are genuine firmware v3.0 releases from Apple. If you are interested in Jailbreaking your phone and software unlocking it for use with any network then you will require UltraSnow which is due for release tomorrow on friday 19th. Search Google or similar for UltraSnow and this should lead you to more info on Jailbreak and unlocking.

   Please be carefull before you install 3.0 becuase it update you base band permanantly and then you wont be able to recover it just wait till you get the official update from the DEV team yellowsn0w for 3g Phones

   the iphone 3G and the Iphone 2G seed links have been interchanged. the links given under “iPhone 2g OS 3.0 GM Seed released 06/08/09 (7A341)” is actually for iphone 3G and links given under “iPhone 3g OS 3.0 GM Seed released 06/08/09 (7A341)” are for iphone 2G..download the corresponding software based on your requirements..
