First, company employees explain that Google doesn’t produce information, it merely filters websites according to popularity. That’s why, say, if you search for “September 11″, the first “hit” might be the site of a conspiracy theorist, simply because that site is the buzz of the internet. In a workplace with masseurs and volleyball courts, where employees are encouraged to spend one day of their working week doing something they love, Google strives for neutrality.

Even so, concerns are surfacing. Google is huge, with offshoots including Google Earth (which zooms into any location via archived satellite images) and Machine Translation (aiming to provide accurate translations of documents). Will this enormous store of information infringe on people’s privacy? Will governments abuse it? What about terrorists?

To these worthwhile questions, Google employees struggle to give convincing answers. Their stuttered responses suggest the bosses need to spend more time addressing the ethics of their work. Google’s quasi-motto, “Don’t be evil”, is all well and good, but it’s worth remembering that one man’s evil is another man’s virtue.

The best point is made by Vint Cerf, the man dubbed the father of the internet and a vice-president at Google since 2004. He agrees that information can be manipulated, noting that the makers of this program will be able to manipulate their interviews in the editing suite. One smart cookie.

   This is not true!

   I know perfect about filters, Infra/Intranets.

   Google as everything else is dominate by US Supremacy Interest.

   Was modified for example like (YOUTUBE… The only non fully restricted site for real time true events) YouTube don’t post videos from solders in IRAQ, You Tube delete videos that compromise the new paranoia wish-hunter theory of ” matter of National Security” and they cut videos to 10min, so people can’t post any more full movies for use as download server (also delete claimed movies by companies)… and this is YouTube. The lest restricted server in US.

   Google is super filter, extremely high technology to pass specific information and make see like normal service when as matter of fact work even with local police dpt (don’t talk about ‘the big fish’) to locate search history as evidence of crimes, censory guvernamental data, google is the leed to incriminate child pornography, Google is like “Charles Barkley” who inform and cooperate with Miami Police Dpt, if he can catch someone he runs after you… hehehehe.

   (If you want a truly non-filter Internet in USA, you have to get a Satellite ISP [Internet Service Provider] from Europe, and them: use their search enginer and type anything you want… You will see the diference Instantly!.. Remember.. Yahoo, Sisco and Google was send to Suprem Court in USA because they abuse american people Trust, mostly YAHOO who give to chinese the info about people who talk bad about china…and if you go to “china” and search in GOOGLE [tiananmen masacre] You will only find Comunist Propagan and the Police knock you door… So Google serve Politic and Convenience, The Information is Manipulated by sofistacated computers.
