I have successfully installed this OS but I encountered problems. First when I install other programs (software) the language displays some kind of arabic. Second the displayed year on the windows explorer of the files where erroneous.(year 2155). Can anyone help me on this?

Hi jerichobrix, the time came from your bios but this can easily be changed to the right date and time, simply double click the time on the taskbar and adjust the time and date and the time zone, with regards to language, kindly go to control panel, choose regional settings, set the language of your choice, remove the Thai language and everything will be in English, hope this can help you in any small way, thank you very much

Hi dburgos_ece, try burning it on a cd instead and not on a dvd, although the contents you see is more than 2Gb, it will actually fit on a CD, this is the OS i am using on all my PCs and i highly recommend it, or you can also try burning it using an iso software instead, thank you very much

I recommend using the all drivers version, now regarding about sata raid, if you are using sata raid, then choose the one with all drivers with sata raid, if you only using one hard disk then you dont need sata raid, hope this can help you in any way, thank you very much

Hi dburgos_ece, i personally use Kaspersky or Eset Smart Security, the setup will take from 30 mins to an hour, so far i have not encountered any software that i have installed on this OS and i have plenty of software installed

i have the O.S ready on cd and was wondering if i needed to reboot it? ( start up, boot.. etc)
also would this erase all my files and etc on it?

Hi Ninja, your laptop specs are very good and can easily handle this OS. You need to delete and wipe your hard disk to make sure no remnants are left before you install any new OS, this assures you of an error free installation and a very fast OS – if your laptop only has one hard disk then you dont need sata raid, install the all drivers version, thank you very much

Hi Ninja and Deepu, i highly recommend using Hirens BoodCD to erase and wipe your hard disk, boot Hirens from dos and choose disk partitioning tools, choose acronis disk director suite to wipe and delete your hard disk, then you can install the new OS, thank you

Thank You for your effort, integrity, non-judgementalism and most of all your time. I have downloaded the Active Boot and the Ultimate Boot Software, but now I read I should thoroughly wipe out the old. So I’m to go w/ Hirens. My Presario started with a 160Gb HD but some sectors burned out and a 40Gb HD replaced it. Now I’m replacing that one with a 320Gb. My questions; Am I correct in understanding that ‘This has the Startup Software and the Drivers, and Will I need to install add’l. Software to enable my system to properly read the larger HD? I don’t know about anyone else Max but I don’t see integrity such as yours in face to face encounters!

Hi Max,, i am running Windows XP SP3 on my Laptop Dell D610 (Centrino 1.8Ghz, 2GB DDR2, 80 GB hard). I have following queries to ask:
1. Will this OS runs fine on my laptop with current specs
2. I want windows in for its best appearance so which istallation option should i choose, whether it should be with all drivers or what, kindly suggest.
3. Can i install this windows besides my XP SP3 as i want to OS on my laptop
4. As i can see you recommending this windows very much that means its bugs free and won’t get crashed any time soon.
5. Will my XP SP3 drivers will work in this windows if i install a fresh OS.
Windows 7 Regarding question if you can please answer.
1. i have downloaded and burnt windows 7 for my this current laptop on nero 6 and then again on Alochol 120% on speed 2.4x. The DVD which was being burnt with Nero gives at files expanding 0% place after two or three mintues it gives error 0×80070017 (file missing or corrupt) and on DVD burnt with Alchohol 120% it doesn’t run on bootup as it says install your dvd-rw or rom on which cd is running.
2. What could be possible solution to my problem.
3. Or it might by downloaded ISO problem, so could you please give your ISO link and will that windows will be activated.
4. Will my laptop run windows 7 reasonably good as i have seen many people on youtube running windows 7 on same system or even with low specs like with 1GB ram.

Hi BoyzEvil, yes the OS will un very fast on your laptop, choose the all drivers so it will automatically search for the drivers for your laptop, you can install this OS on top of your old OS only by using VMWorsktation, I use this OS on all my PCs without any problem, you can update your drivers regardless of the SP.
With regards to Windows 7, i dont think im knowledgeable enough to answer your queries since i have not personally tried it yet.

And yes MAX.. by looking at this window’s screenshots i think its more or less same to windows 7 look like. What do you say about it does both have more or less same appearance and aero graphics features or not. thanks

Hi BoysEvil, i meant that it will run faster than the regular Windows XP and definitely much faster than Vista, it has the more than the aero graphics look, many themes are included in this OS, thank you very much

Max .. Brother.. i so wanna download this file, but My downloads get stuck on hotline, and from rapid share.. and sometimes it say too many users downloading same file so try again later. Is there any torrent or any other way that i can download it. So, far really appreciate your help but can’t find a way to get through these file sharing webs. Thanks..

Yep thats just it. I burnt it using power iso and still when it boots, it boots as a dvd.
Wasted 3 cds already lol
BTW I’m using the dark cobra version. it slows down my pc thats why I wanna switch to this one you recommended.

opps did i do something wrong? it finally formatted my pc, so im installing this and it says; windows xp professional setup – setup cannot find a previous version of windows installed on your computer. to continue, setup needs to verify that you qualify to use this upgrade product please insert cd bla bla bla, do i have to download windows again?

HI Dark, you need a clean hard disk before installing a new OS, kindly use Hirens BootCD to clean and wipe the partition before installing this new os, thank you very much

max i have a problem
i tried to install it selecting the option “All Drivers…” on the boot mode
i installed it successfully but the thing is that its all setup in Thai Language…I tried changing it at the Control Panel. some others are changed but the others are still in Thai language…I want to set it to English mode…
I downloaded firefox and it installed Thai Language also…
Pls help me with this max..I want the Thai Language completely removed on my PC…

Hi Himashu, using ultraiso, open the iso image file, then simply burn to a blank CD, make sure to click it “make it bootable”, thank you

Hi Chris, this version of Windows XP does not need any serial, its a silent unattended installation, make sure that you didnt install this OS on top of your previous OS, please install on a clean and fresh hard disk, thank you very much

Hey Max, I tried this one but my laptop crashes when starting up. It says. the Windows Logon process terminated… must be because of a missing driver or something. I tried it with All Drivers but still getting the error.
I have a HP DV5 notebook PC.. not sure if I did something wrong. Can you send me a step by step tutorial on how to do this? I wiped the partition and burned the XPcd, boot, chose all drivers..
Please help.

Hi Flip, i think there is one major issue that was overlooked, HP laptops come with a hidden recovery volume and this needs to be wiped clean, kindly download hirens boot cd and burn it to a disc, reboot your pc and boot from the CD, choose partition tools and then acronis disk director suite, from here you can clearly see if there is a hidden partition or not, you can now choose to wipe the hard disk clean, hope this will help you in any way, thank you very much

Hi max, i’ve installed this os. But i found little problem with the language shows in date and some applications like nero. I’ve choosed the english in regional and settings option, but it doesn’t takes any change. Could u help me to solve this?

On the regional options tab, i’ve change it to english. On languages tab i’ve also uncheck all of options on it and choose english only. On advance tab i’ve uncheck all the thai code page convertions table except one that i couldn’t. Its named { 874 (ANSI/OEM – Thai) }, its coloured greyscale on that options.

Hi, thankyou for this os. I have just installed it onto my laptop and it works great. Although i have just installed my antivirus and it says “VISTADRIVE.EXE” is a potentially dangerous program. I have nothing else yet installed on my pc and wonder if you can help with some idea what this file is.
