Sicko is a 2007 documentary film by American filmmaker Michael Moore. The film investigates the American health care system, focusing on its health insurance and pharmaceutical industry. The film compares the for-profit, non-universal U.S. system with the non-profit Universal Health Care systems of Canada, the United Kingdom, France and Cuba.

Y-e-a-h,..I was shocked too. UNTIL,..I read articles that explained the FULL story of how “great” socialized medicine “really” is. Hospitals shutting down in the UK, Docs from CANADA coming down to work across the border because conditions up there are so abysmal. Do your homework, Mr. Moore presents only 1 (skewed) side of the story.

Some UK hospitals are extremely old, They are being closed down to make way for larger super-hospitals. The old sites are converted into care of elderly/paliative care facilities. Some people inevitibly complain however the closures and subsequent new hospitals are a good thing for everyone.
Socialised medicine is an amazing system. I could go on…..
Americans are a relatively new society when compared to the EU. You will soon see that the health of the nation leads to more prodiuctive, happy and ethical standards.

C’mon, there are no 2 ways about it. Clearly, what is so great about privatised medical care when you can get similar if not equal quality health care for less, let alone for free. It’s obviously there for the benefit of an exclusive group and if you choose to keep being fooled by these vultures well, then by all means knock yourself out. Other countries have a choice either to go for free health care or if you have the money then you pay up for more exclusive medical benefits. People should have a choice rather than being shoved up crap in their mouths without having a say on the matter. Brilliant concept no?
