The legend revolves around Charles Karino, a Levamme Empire niggardly aerial pilot who mans the doubled-seater reconnaissance seaplane Santa Cruz. One lifetime, he receives a preposterous assignment: to glide solo over 12,000 kilometers of satan waters to transport a girl named Fana del Moral. Fana happens to exist betrothed to the empire’s royalty prince and is a girl possessing elegance “equal to 5,000 beams of daybreak”.
