A one-hour period drama that picks up where the famous story of Romeo and Juliet ends, charting the treachery, fight for power and ill-fated romances of the Montagues and Capulets in the wake of the young lovers’ tragic fate. The series is based on the eponymous book by Melinda Taub.

Season 01, Episode 01 – “In Fair Verona, Where We Lay Our Scene”
The premiere of the drama about the Montagues and Capulets following the tragic deaths of Romeo and Juliet. First up: the rivaly between the families escalates; and a new royal takes the throne and struggles to determine what is best for his city.

Season 01, Episode 02 – “The Course of True Love Never Did Run Smooth”
With Verona in crisis, Rosaline and Benvolio have no choice but to follow Prince Escalus’ decree to marry one another in an effort to restore peace, which Rosaline struggles to accept. Lady Capulet continues to mourn Juliet’s death but, unsettled by the way she died, is determined to figure out what or who influenced Juliet’s decision. Meanwhile, Livia and the nurse work tirelessly, hiding a secret of their own.

Season 01, Episode 03 – “All The World’s”
In an attempt to convince the citizens of Verona that Benvolio and Rosaline are madly in love, Prince Escalus suggests a public betrothal ceremony.

Season 01, Episode 04 – “Pluck Out the Heart of My Mystery”
Rosaline and Benvolio work together to uncover who is responsible for pitting the Montagues and Capulets against each other. Meanwhile, Lord Montague is forced to welcome an unannounced visit from his sister, Tessa Montague, who has a manipulative plan of her own on how to deal with the Capulets.

Season 01, Episode 05 – “Nature Hath Framed Strange Fellows in Her Time”
When Benvolio finds himself in serious trouble, he surprisingly turns to Rosaline for help. Meanwhile, Princess Isabella travels to Venice to try and make peace with the Doge, but quickly discovers he has other intentions.

Season 01, Episode 06 – “Hell Is Empty and All the Devils Are Here”
A senseless act of violence occurs in the wake of an argument between Lord Montague and Lord Capulet, and tensions run high. Meanwhile, Rosaline finds herself in a compromising situation when her fate is in the hands of an unsuspecting person.

Season 01, Episode 07 – “Something Wicked This Way Comes”
In the Season 1 finale, Rosaline returns to Verona and tries to prove that Benvolio’s not guilty, prompting Paris to take matters into his own hands. Meanwhile, Lady Capulet’s relationship with Paris comes to a head; and a shocking discovery is revealed.
