Vanessa Helsing, distant relative of famous vampire hunter Abraham Van Helsing, is resurrected only to find that vampires have taken over the world. She is humanity’s last hope to lead an offensive to take back what has been lost.

Season 01 , Episode 01 – “Pilot”
In the future, Vanessa Van Helsing is awoken. She discovers that the Vampires have taken control of Earth. She apparently is the key for the humans to win the war.

Season 01 , Episode 02 – “Seen You”
In the days leading up to “The Rising,” Vanessa is attacked and left for dead by an intruder. When Doc discovers anomalies in Vanessa’s bloodwork, Axel and the marines come to retrieve the body, only to become marooned in the hospital when all hell breaks loose outside the building.

Season 01 , Episode 03 – “Stay Inside”
A damaged power source leaves Vanessa and the survivors extremely vulnerable to a vampire attack. With limited options and little time, Vanessa and Axl head out into the ruins of Seattle to scavenge the parts they need. Meanwhile, the others prepare to defend themselves as they struggle to get along.

Season 01 , Episode 04 – “Coming Back”
Vanessa and Mohamad head into the vampire-controlled streets in search of Dylan, the daughter that Vanessa orphaned when she “died.” Back at the hospital, Cynthia is discovered dead of an apparent suicide. But then Doc starts to suspect that a killer could be amongst the group.

Season 01 , Episode 05 – “Fear Her”
Vanessa is forced to demonstrate her powers against someone from her past while still being held in the clutches of Julius and his vampire brood. Elsewhere, the refugees comes to believe that a serial killer is among them as they plot to wrestle control from Axel.

Season 01 , Episode 06 – “Nothing Matters”
Mutated feral vampires chase Vanessa and Susan through the sewers; at the same time, a hostile takeover of the hospital is underway.

Season 01 , Episode 07 – “For Me”
The hospital’s residents, led by Vanessa and Axel, take one last stand against Julius and his vampire soldiers. Meanwhile, a civil war seems to be brewing between Dmitri’s Death Squad and the other faction of bloodsuckers.

Season 01 , Episode 08 – “Little Thing”
Axel leads the surviving members of the group to his old military base, which he hopes to use for shelter, but arrives to find it abandoned and in disrepair. In need of a safe refuge with vampires closing in all around them, the decision is made to go underground. Meanwhile, Mohamad navigates hostile territory while trying to catch up to Vanessa.

Season 01 , Episode 09 – “Help Out”
Vanessa learns that Axel has been keeping a secret from her concerning her past; at the same time, the group are trapped inside an underground lab for military experiments known as “The Farm.” Outside, Mohamad develops a friendship with a beautiful girl who isn’t afraid of vampires; and Rebecca makes a calculated move against the Resistance leadership.

Season 01 , Episode 10 – “Stay Away”
Vanessa and the group are left reeling from the dire events of “The Farm” when they come upon a band of humans who have brokered a peace with the vampires. But not all is well with their leader, who seems to be hiding a terrible secret; at the same time, the serial killer’s identity is revealed.

Season 01 , Episode 11 – “Last Time”
There are glimmers of hope and reasons for grief when Vanessa and the group take shelter at Susan’s family farm. With Sam finally outed as the serial killer, Vanessa and Mohamad take drastic action against him. Meanwhile, Rebecca’s latest experiment to create Daywalkers fails; and Dmitri’s patience grows thin.

Season 01 , Episode 12 – “He’s Coming”
Vanessa and Mohamad find themselves in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse against Sam as they make their way to a vampire-controlled camp. Meanwhile, Sheema discovers a secret that can bring down the ghetto-cell of the Resistance; and Julius takes a clandestine meeting with Dmitri.

Season 01 , Episode 13 – “It Begins”
Vanessa learns secrets from her past and finds herself at a crossroads, wondering if she is a vampire or a human. Elsewhere, Mohamad and Sheema come to blows over their allegiances.
